Default Would a manual rack be to hard to use as a daily Driver

Are you guys using your car as a daily driver or just racing. My Power steering pump is going and my rack is leaking. So I was wondoring if a manual rack would be ok on a daliy driver. With the pump and rack going the car steers hard as it is.

With the exception of parallel parking, it is not too bad. One of the only other problems I know of is the reduced ratio with the manual racks, the 5.0 equipped cars have a higher ratio rack than the non 5.0 cars that came with manual racks.
A manual rack will not be as hard to turn as a power steering rack that does not work.

Default more ???

Dose anyone know if a 1986 manual rack will fit? Also if it doses fit are there any modifications small or large? Are the racks on the 1988 gt one or two part racks?
Thanks Mark
