Default 1989 Mustang Suspension Questions

I have some questions on my mustang. When driving, everytime I hit ANY type of bump, my wheel will slightly jerk to one side. When im on the freeway, and i brake, my wheel shakes alot. And whenever i turn my wheel as far as it can go to one side, it feels like my car jumps. Its hard to explain. I really need help on the parts i should get to fix or improve this problem. I appreciate ANYTHING.
thanks.

I would almost bet that you need a wheel alignment which would help with your car moving to one side, and the feeling of it jumping when you are fully turned.

As for shaking/vibrations, while you are getting your alignment have them check to see if your wheels are balanced.

I am assuming your car is NOT lowered. I just lowered mine and had similar problems. I installed a bump steer kit and had an alignment and it all went away - I did not have any shaking/vibration's though.

Maybe wheel alignment or bad tie rod , inner or outer.

Don't forget the brake rotors. They could be worn and/or warped and you'd definately feel it shake in the wheel and the brake pedal. It'd cause a pull to one side too. Wheel bearings can cause a shake at speed, and possibly if bad enough the jerking when making a turn.
