Default 2001 Mustang GT Car not getting cool (AC prob?)

Hello Mustangers,

My car (GT 2001 convertible) is not getting cool. Irrespective of settings, there is always hot air coming out of the vents. Please let me know what can be wrong? Is the AC not working or maybe just I need to add more coolant liquid? I am not thorough with CAR mechanics.

Thanks
Jaydeep

It'smore than likely that you have lost some or all of the freon (R134a) in the air conditioner system.
Another problem could be a pressure switch that is not letting the compressor clutch turn on.
About the only way for you to go with this is to take it to someplace that works on auto air conditioning and hope they know what they are doing and don't rip you off.
The laws about releasing or recovering freon are getting really strict with big fines and maybe even jail time. It's not a laughing matter anymore.
