service engine soon light still on, 2001 Mustang

hi i have a 2001 stang, thought light was due to gas cap/ disconnected batt/wasnt it....how do i go about changing o2 sensor? looks like its fairly cheap...could do it myself...any advice? thanks

Have you actually pulled the code? A gas cap will throw an EVAP code, and an o2 sensor will not solve that problem.

no i havent pulled the code yet...im going to advanced auto today to see what that code will be....*shrug*
ill post that code once ive got it...will they be able to tell at advanced what that code is?
