Default Autolite 2100 linkage to C4 kickdown?

I have a 1965 Mustang with an Autolite 2100 carburetor and the C4 Auto transmission. Car was built 9/64 so has some stange 64/65 combinations.
The carburetor has no linkage to the transmission kickdown. It also has the wrong accelerator return spring and bracket. I can find the accellerator return spring and bracket in the parts calalogs but I don't know what the linkage to the transmission kickdown is: spring, cable, or solid rod??
Any help would be appreciated.
This is my first time posting here and I hope to get some answers.
Thank you.
Ron
