Unhappy Battery Issues

Ok here's the deal, relocated my battery to the trunk. I have two brand new ground straps in the front engine bay, grounded from the engine to the chassis. I'm running the positive cable from the battery to the silinoid in the front. The negative cable is going from the battery to one of the bellhousing bolts. And I have a brand new battery. When I start the car cold, it starts fine. But when I go to restart it after it's been running, it won't restart or it turns very slow. All this crap started happening when I put it in the trunk. The starter only has a one wire hook up. I checked my volts and it says I'm getting the juice. So I have no clue

I'm not sure what you mean. But it's parked in the trunk over the right rear tire.

Update: Found the problem, talked to the experts at MAD Electric. They helped me out and told me the cables I'm using were to small to carry the current. I'm using like 2gauge and they said no smaller than a 1/0gauge. After the car is started and run for a while obviously everything heats up. With the smaller cables they cannot carry the current under the heat, the amps and the volts go down. Anyway these guys are the best, if you every need any help with battery relocate or any Ford wiring, please contact them. www.madelectrical.com Thanks Vortex for the help! Check out there article in the Oct. 02 issue of 5.0.
