Hi I justb got a 02 v6 stang. when I start it up there is a whining or sound as if something is loose in the engine.

The oil filter can cause the engine to sound bad if u have a fram filter on it get rid of it. Get a Mobil 1 filter, WIX, or motorcraft. A wining sound could also be the power steering pump. Also u may need a tranny fluid change if u have a auto the torque converter with old fluid can make a wining sound; pull out the trans dipstick and see if the fluid is dark or smells burned, if it does change it and the filter.

PureOne is a good Oil Filter too. A test was done out here in Vegas and it came just shy behind Mobile 1, but for half the price.

FRAM is crap, too lol.

i just got my first stang and it is not a cobra but has 17 inch cobra rims,my speedo reads about 20 over any way to fix this besides putiing the original rims back on?
