Question 2001 Mustang GT Brakes sticking after 10-20mins

I got my wife a 2001 GT conv. for her B-day. It has all been swell until today. The brakes started sticking massively. It started sticking so bad, she barely made it to her work from the bank. I would just like to know where to start.

The brake fluid looks pretty black, pads are faily new. About 1/4 wear on them. The brakes stick so much, that the car will almost burnout trying to push the car from the rear. I know it is at least the 2 front callipers, not sure about the rear. I ran it for about 8 mins, and it didn't act up. But as soon as my wife hopped in, it started all over again.

Several things I have found out so far:
  • Could be debri in the brake lines (flushing should fix that)
  • Could be expanded Brake lines (causing too much pressure to the callipers)
  • Could be the callipers sticking (Replacing should solve)
  • Could be the alignment pins sticking (I guess these could be replaced)
  • Somehow could be the master cylinder (no pressure is lost that I can tell, the pedal seems normal.)
  • Could be a valve problem from ABS/Traction control
  • Could be the equalizer problem
No more Ideas. Just a question, where should I start?
THanks!
Josh

i would replace both calibers and hoses, hoses often break down on the inside and will let fluid to the caliber but not let fluid go back,i also suggest flush the system.

Question

Thanks Heavy Metal. I appreciate your comment. I am going to try to flush the system soon. I went to Orielly and Autozone. Nobody has the brake lines or calipers in. I got the DOT3 fluid, it may solve it if I am lucky enough to get the junk out (if that is the problem).

I will try to let you guys know the status.
