Remote Door Opener In My 1990 Mustang Not Working

My 1990 Mustang has a remote unit on the key chain, which doesn't work, any suggestions on how to fix it.

If it was a factory unit, take it to a dealer. If it's an aftermarket unit, take it to a stereo shop and have them test it out.

How can I tell the difference, no FMCO markings on it
