Hello,
I have an 85 302 carb motor that is having a no start problem. I have read most of the posts I could find concerning this condition but am unable to find an answer. I get no spark at the plug when connected to the spark plug wire and cranked but, if I connect the plug to the coil lead it will spark, the car has a new cap and rotor. What do I try next? I would like to thank any and all who try to answer.

is it a duraspark? if it is replace the ignition module mine goes out so often i keep one under my seat at all times and there not to expensive about $25

If your getting spark at the coil lead and not when it's from the spark plug, you have new cap and rotor but how well is the distributor working?
