Default Suggestions for a "cold natured " mustang

I recently purchased a 1993 5.0 HO, old SSP car. Since I have had it, I have put Magna Flow exhuast from the cats back, Brothers Headers, FRP 3.73's, 9MM FRP plug wires and auto-lite plugs. Since putting on the headers and the plugs and plug wires, the car seems to be cold natured during the inital start. It will you usually start and then "get out of time" I guess, bogs down and cuts off, after a couple of times of going through this, it will usually seem to warm-up and run fine. It's just when you first try to start it, if you can keep your foot on the gas it does fine, it just seems like it's out of time, or don't want to idle right for the first few minutes. Any suggestions?

I have the exact same thing, it gets irritating. It seems to be because of some sensors and actuators at cold start up aren't acting right although they are. It does seem to be computer related, maybe have a diagnostic done to check all pertinant systems such as the timing, fuel, EGR, there's many systems that affect the idle quality and one of them must have something out of parameters, once it warms up the readings are within bounds and it acts right. I need this done myself and if I have it done, I'll let it be known what the results are.

Thanks, any suggestions on where to take it to have all of that checked?

Also, just happened to read your info while emailing you and I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how sorry I am to hear about your fiance and children. I am a father of two as well, and I can't imagine what youre going through. Unfortunately I experience that type of tragedy everyday (Highway Patrol Sergeant), and it's always tough for me to swallow when I am invlolved in something like that. Stay strong my friend!! If you ever need anything let me know. I am not too awful far from you, my wife and her family are from Eden and Shelby. I was born and raised in Martinsville, which as you know, is on the North Carolina line so I have family all over NC too. Maybe we'll get together sometime. I saw that they are having the 4th Annual Spring Fling at Rousch Fenway racing in April, you going?
