Default Need all the information i can get before i do this

i want to drop a 5.0 H.O. out of a 1990 model Mustang LX in to replace my !983 3.8 Mustang GL motor the 5.0 is EFI and my 3.8 is carberated and i have a 3 speed automatic transmission in the car will it bolt up? What might i possibly have to change to make all this work properly in my 1983 mustang? Has anyone put duel exhaust on an 83 fox body mustang is it possible to get around the stock fuel tank? Will the transmission off a 1983 3.8 v6 bolt up to a 1990 5.0 ho?

You can put on an 86-93 dual exhaust by swapping the tranny crossmember over to a double hump model. The engine will go right into the 83, and I'd suggest getting a tranny made to go behind a 5.0 engine, it'll break that 3 speed you already have.

LMAO. A stone stock unrebuilt C4 will hold 300hp all day. Modded C4s are a common choice for the 5.0 drag car guys. Know of what you speak.

To answer the rest of the question, you'll need a TCI 50oz 157t c4 flywheel for about 65$ from summit and i think you'll need 5.0l mounts.

A 3.8 uses the SBF bolt pattern so your trans will bolt up.

If I remember, in doing some research for a similar conversion, the break lines on the rear axle need to be changed for the passanger side pipe to clear. For now I have turndowns in front of the rear axle. I was going to check the differences last weekend, (to make sure) but the salvage yard just sent ALL there 87-93 Mustangs to crush. There is another yard but there a rip, so I'll wait for now
