If it's an original 1978 351, it's rather weak. Try to find out if it's the actual original engine, and if not find out what year. There was no H.O. 351 in 1978, they only had 144 hp @3200 rpm and 2 barrel carbs. Don't let this guy snow you. $350 is an ok price for just the engine, just know it's a good starting point but not if it's stock. No 1978 351 engine came with a 4 barrel carb, regardless of application.
