I have been looking at the diffrent choices regarding lowering springs or adjustable coilover. I was wondering if anyone has problems passing MA state inspection with lowering springs installed? If not please provide the type of spring setup you are running lowered hieght, etc. I've always used adjustables but looking to save some cash and go with springs this time. Thanks, by the way please provide pics if you can
I doubt lowering will be an issue I see ricers driving around here constantly with cut springs about a centimeter off the ground.
Just so you know a tune makes you fail inspection. I had to flash mine back to stock in order to get my sticker. Blocked out the computer reading part of the inspection.

Ive had issues around boston because of the hieght and tint, but I am forgoing tint this time and just lowering the vehicle. Most of the ricers know somebody or have to pay extra and im tired of paying extra for a sticker
i dont think there is anything about lowering your car that will cause you to fail an inspection.

Next summer looking to go with:
Bilstien shocks + struts, Lowering springs (brand still TBD (any suggestions?)), MM CC plates, front + rear sway bars, subframes, and upper and lower control arms.
Time to make the pony ride some rails
Chapter 90 Section 7P of the Massachusetts General Laws:
"No person shall alter, modify or change the height of a motor vehicle with an original manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating of up to and including ten thousand pounds, by elevating or lowering the chassis or body by more than two inches above or below the original manufacturer’s specified height..."
Most springs I see aren't dropping the car more then two inches so you will be fine... not to mention I don't think too many inspection stations pay attention to it...
Lenny from Precision (auto? i think) in Marblehead installed my rear end gears in my car. he owns his own mustang, does very quality work, and is fairly cheap ($72 an hour). my gear install took him just over 4 hours and he did a fantastic job. im not sure what he charges for parts or fluids because i supplied him with everything so just have all the various components and you'll get a good deal. i lost their card but im sure you could find their info online somewhere.

I put a set of FRPP springs in my car before the winter, dropped it 1.5" front and back. I have my inspection coming up in March, so I'll let you know if I have any problems.
