I wanted to do a little racing with my car and I wondered what types of tracks were available and where they were located.

The car is a 2005 Mustang GT Vert and she is mostly stock except for a CAI and tune. What I was hoping to find out about is if there is an available drag track where I might be able to do some quarter mile runs, but more importantly I’d like to find a course that has some twists and turns as well as a straightaway so that I might be able to do some touring with her and she how she handles, brakes, etc in a safer environment then the street.

I live in Massachusetts on the North Shore and I’d be willing to go to NH, CT, RI or where on the weekends, especially if it’s a touring style racecourse.
The only 1/4 mile track in all of New England is New England Dragway on route 101 in Epping, New Hampshire. As for the road courses, I don't know of any but I'm sure that there are some here. I know that there was a track at Otis Air Force base on Cape Cod but it was shut down because of the 9/11 plane attacks. Good luck!

I live 2 miles from the Thompson Speedway. I hear and see people pulling in there all the time (illegally) and racing on it. They open the gates, go around back, go on the track, race once or twice around, and leave.

Thanks
There are several car clubs that rent New Hampshire International out for runs on the road course. I have gone with my other car and had a blast. You can check thier sched and find out who, what and when.

So how many times have you done it...
