Late Model Mustang Club of Connecticut, LMMC-CT '07 Spring Cruise
Trip Highlights: 1.5 Hour Spring cruise leaving from The Pike and cookout / hangout at XXTuning to see their facility...
Come join us in our first cruise of 2007, and our first cruise open to the public in 4 years!!!
This is the one people have waited and cleaned all winter for! Breakout of the cold and come take a ride with friends that it's about time you get reacquainted with and kick off cruise season with a group of the most extreme vehicles in the state!
Status: OPEN TO ALL/ WEATHER PERMITTING
Date: Sunday, May 27th
Meet time: 11AM (Leave promptly at 12PM)
Location: Waldbaum's Parking Lot, Webster Square Rd, Berlin, CT
Mileage: Approx 75 miles
Total Time: Cruise=1.5 Hour Cookout at XXTuning=until they kick us out
-Come gassed up and ready to go. We will not be making any stops for gas.-
Starting Locations & The First Leg of The Ride:
We will be meeting on the pike again - but we have moved to a new location. We will be meeting there at 11AM and leaving promptly for our first destination at 12PM. We have directions and a map that was made by Dave Gagnon, and he has created a spectacular cruise route for us! We will have a brief conversation about the entire cruise before leaving at which point we will hand out the directions and map. By May 27th, Spring should be well under way with new foliage covering the state in a dense green which should make for an awesome ride and even better cruise footage for a video!
Cookout at XXTuning: After our cruise we will head to XX for a cookout. The Club will provide hot dogs, Chips & Dip, Drinks, Etc. While we are there our sponsor will give us a tour of their facilities - their dyno shop, RokBlok film, etc and get those interested better acquainted with the services and products they can provide. We will stay until we are kicked out... Food and drinks will be FREE TO CLUB MEMBERS and their guests only. Non-club members who wish to participate in the BBQ can do so for a nominal fee of $5.00 per person.
This cruise is OPEN TO ALL! We have made the decision to allow non-members join us for this cruise. Everyone in attendance will be expected to follow all club rules as well as vehicle and traffic laws. We will have members of the CSP in attendance in unmarked vehicles - they WILL issue tickets to people who cannot act responsibily. If you cannot, please do not bother showing up. We are anticipating 100+ cars - this will be the largest Mustang cruise ever in the Northeast! To have it go properly everyone will have to drive responsibly.
Show your support for the Club and for the upcoming season! Lets make this our largest cruise ever! We are already over 50 cars and close to 100 people!!
Please let us you are planning to attend by replying to this thread so we can plan accordingly and keep a list.
To make our lives easier please do not feel the need to let us know that you cannot make it.
Hope to see you on the road!
Anyone traveling with the group is asked to obey all posted speed limits! This is not a race or contest. That is not what we are about. If you do not think you can obey posted speed limits or follow the group leaders please do not come along for the ride.

As long as something doesn't come up (or bad weather) I hope to see you guys down there.
I used to cruise the pike in my 70 Cougar, 22 years ago...
Be fun to see what's changed (is the drive-in still standing?).

Today it is almost 20".
Got an appointment for glass replacement on FRIDAY!

Should be a great day everyone - we're over 80 cars and ~150 people! We will have a police escort onto the highway and hopefully at two major intersections along the way so the group can stay together as much as possible.
Just a friendly reminder, this is not a race...everyone will be expected to drive in a calm/rational manner...no burnouts, no fast acceleration - with this many cars it is VERY easy to have an accident and that is the last thing we want to happen.

I would say that there were at LEAST 75 Mustangs present.
There were over 60 when I stopped counting half an hour before rollout.
I do have some photos that I will put up later tonight.
Some definitely sweet rides!!
Saleens, Shelbys, Cobras, GTs and even our little V6 ponys.
I hung right up there with the big boys.
All the ponys sounded great!
Very cool to see this HUGE line of Mustangs going down the highways and back roads!
My round-trip mileage was 330 miles.
Got to meet KOZAK and FUZZYDICE and we cruised down to the meet together.
Very cool.
The LMMCC did an excellent job organizing this.
Can't wait for the next one.
