Need to find good Mustang Mechanic and Body Shop in Connecticut
Like my title says now that our 1991 Mustang which was stolen has been recovered, we will need to find a good Mustang Mechanic and Body Shop in Connecticut.
Some of you may have followed my thread about our Mustang being Stolen and now that the police found her of course there is some damage. Apparently not bad from what I gather through the police we were lucky. The door was damaged and the ignition was ripped out.
Since we recently move to Connecticut we do not know of any mechanic or body shops in this area.
I would really appreciate it if someone could recommend shops to us.
Look forward to your replies so we can get the work done and start enjoying our mustang again.
Wow sorry to hear that your car was stolen, thats awful. Good luck with the repair work and getting it back on the road. You must be so excited to have it back where it belongs. They catch the guy who did it? Or did he dump the car somewhere?

If you're willing to take a drive, Northeast Transmissions in Plainfield, CT, is GREAT. I give them a good amount of business and they'll treat you right. They ALL drive Mustangs so they're extra meticulous with fellow 'stangers rides.
I'm not sure if they do bodywork, but I'd call and ask.

Northeast Autobody recently closed where I live (2 miles from my place). BUT there is a guy who bought the place and does little side jobs for people. I'll see if I can get in touch with him.
Other than that, I'm not sure of any other autobody places around.
On a side note, I hope the thief suffers dearly; in pain or punishment (hopefully both).
My dads good friends with the guy that owns this place. He owns about a dozen cars, and has been working on them all his life. He does body work, engine rebuilds, has a full paint bay, etc. Ideal Automotive Group, Danbury, CT
hes in danbury, ct.
