Stock Wheels Widened at Weldcraft

Finally arrived today, work looks topnotch and they arrived in great shape - packed nicely too I'll add. I'm going to clean 'em up and repaint the inside before having the tires mounted, hopefully by the end of the week. I now have a set of "stock" 18 x 10.5's rears, needed this width to fit the new drag radials .

I only first heard of it a few months back, and after a little research and talking to owners who've had it done, seemed like a good Plan for now. Pricing depends on what wheel you're starting with and what you want done; mine came in at $230 per wheel. Check out Weldcraft Wheels site for more info.

They do nice work. I had my 03 cobra wheels widened by Weldcraft. The welds are guaranteed not to leak and the wheels are guaranteed to balance. And it cost me less then $200 per wheel. They added 2'' to the inside of the wheel. They are now 11'' wide. Since the 03 cobras have no lip, I had no choice but to add to the inside. I then used a 1 1/8'' spacer to center the wheel properly. I like how they appear stock at a glance. The wheels now sit flush with the quarters and I can run 315's. I believe I have a few pics in my profile if interested.

Nice ride! And the wheels/tires really stand out too - good to hear another positive review of Weldcraft modded wheels.

Dropped wheels/tires off earlier today to get 'em mounted, haven't got them back yet. Besides they've been dumping salt on the roads around my way again...for no real reason other that to blow the budget some more

Who makes the rims George? Ford only makes 'em in 18 x 9.5 and even aftermarket made in China brands widest I've seen is 18 x 10's? That's for actual GT500 fitment anyway. But if they are 10.5's you can go up to 315's (which is what I've done). Some put as wide as a 345 on 10.5's, but it's not really recommended. Clearance-wise, you should be fine with a 315/35-18 (again same as mine), depending of course on what offset the new rims have.

a 275 to 295 would be the widest id put on a 9.5 inch rim. My stock cobra rims are 9 inch and came with 275's
