Hello All !!! Talk about a day !!!! I ahve so much to share and its3 am here. spent 2.5 hours "Really Lost" On the south end of the strip looking or the hotel. Finally reallized the hotel wsa on the north end.

Nathan and I dod so much today. Arrived at the LVZMS about 2pm.. We were able to park right outside the front doors 1st Row.

Many stopped and paid great compliments to Nathan and I.

We did a tour of the museum and then went down to the speedway and took pics of our mustang infront of the Position Tower. We were given access to the Start Fininsh Line and told we could do a couple laps around the track. I didn't argue or debate the oportunity. Nathan's smiled from ear to ear and onto the speedway we went. I applied alot of pressure to the Right pedal to say up on the banking and opened it up out of turn two. Had the serveral track staff tracking us into turn 3 and out of turn 4 gave it a little more to live in the moment. I posted a qualifying speed !!! ( It was faster than the driver who was not brave enough to even try.)

Its 20 after 3 and we got to get to bed. Drivers meeting in 4 hours.

Fred!! Glad to hear you guys are doing fantastic, it sounds like you are getting to meet lots of interesting people and that you are getting opportunities of a lifetime!! What a fantastic memory for you and Nathan!!

Hi everybody,

Just talked to Fred and he asked me to post an update on his progress. He's cruising down Rt. 66, and had just passed mile marker 106. He's got the cruise control set at 65 mph and he and Nathan are getting some great photos of the other Mustangs on the drive.

The trip so far, from Sterling, CO to Arizona, has been 1180 miles, and he's averaging 22 mile per gallon.

Also, on his last post, Fred mentioned that he and Nathan were at the front end of the line at the speedway and the Shelby Musuem, but he forgot to say how he ended up in front. From Colorado to Vegas is a time zone change, so while he thought he was arriving right on time, he was actually an hour early! Talk about lucky! You think you're going to arrive right on time, and you end up with an extra hour to talk Mustangs and Shelbys with fellow enthusiasts at the door of a great museum and speedway!

I didn't think I'd be posting another update so quickly, but had to let people know about this: Fred and Nathan are about 85 miles south of the Grand Canyon right now and they've run into some snow. Yep, you read that right: snow in Arizona two weeks into April. It's been awhile since I've been in that part of the country, but what I remember was sun, sun, and more sun.

Fred and Nathan are snapping a bunch of pictures (in the hundreds), and the plan is to get a bunch up on the site tonight when they stop at Holbrook, AZ, so make sure to check back in a few hours.

Hi all this is Nathan my dad is working on pics so I get to say hello to every body. We went to meteor crater and had a great time and I found a link the the main web site for it. It's the link below Meteor Crater - Home . We toured the crater and got to see the movie on meteors. then we went to the gift shop and picked up some souvenirs. We left and finally drove to the hotel. We are staying at the Best Western for tonight. bye

Keeping really busy on this end with all that is to do.

I posted a few pis today to keep the forum rolling.

In Ok City at the Holiday in Express.

Total miles to date: 2310 since we left our driveway on Wednesday night.

Saw the famious Cars buried in Texas. Nathan is doing better in his photos.

Laundry timer is done.

Hi Fred!

Under the reply area - click on "go advanced"... a bigger screen will appear with lots of options!

Click on manage attachments... click on browse, locate the pics you want and add each image, when complete hit upload.... and then finally hit "submit reply"....

Here's a detailed reply I gave another member:

Here is how you post pictures!

1) Click on "New Thread"

2) Type what you'd like to tell everyone

3) Scroll down and click on "Manage Attachments"

A Box will pop up with available slots for your pictures.

4) Click on "Browse"

5) Select the image from your folder you'd like to upload

6) Click "Open"

Repeat steps 4, 5, 6 for additional images.

7) Once set - click on "Upload" - they are now attached to your thread.

8) When you are sure everything is the way you want it - click on submit thread and wait for the responses!!

Please post if you are having problems!!
