You have these comments attributed to Mark Fields and they were made by Jim Farley... and I wouldn't count on it being a race version like the 302R

You mean collectors... not dealers - I've sold a 302R and it races in the Grand-Am Continential Tire series.

No I mean dealers, since they have the first shot at them and know they are collectible they rarely wind up in racing arenas...the Cobra Rs prove this.
Don't even get me started on the shady dealer system and how much people hate it...clearly one of the Big 3s causes of their downfall...I'd never buy a car from a dealer again, a bunch of con artists.

By your logic, the Cobra R's would be sitting on showroom floors everywhere - the fact that they aren't being raced and are collectable is certainly not the fault of the dealerships - but exactly how many of the 657 total Cobra R vehicles built in three different model years do you expect to see racing?

Additionally, every Ford dealership is an independant franchise (except the store in Manhattan) so it is not clear how you can judge every dealership as being shady... it is certainly unfortunate that you have had a bad experience - but don't put me in that group. What exactly is shady about the dealer system?

Look for a price somewhere near the charge for the Mach 1...

logically, it would have to be less than a GT500...
