Can anyone recommend shops in the Halifax area to get mod work done? Paint, exhaust, gears, whatever?

Adam at Mighty Auto on Lady Hammond does pretty wicked exhaust work. He really knows his stuff and is a no BS kinda guy. I found he is good at taking your verbal ideas and coming back & saying what exactly you have inside your head. He has good ideas and can do just about anything and does mandrel bending. He is one of the best in the Province.

Hot Shots in Burnside is really good paint and body but you pay for it.

Performance Autoworld (or Autoworld: I'm not sure what they go by now, I just buy stuff from there), they sell a lot of speed parts, well cars parts period. They also do work there or should be able to point you towards someone who can. If you decide to talk to them don't call (if you must call, make sure it's before 10:30 or 11:00 because they get real busy after that), just go in talk with them in person. It can be hard to get through to them on the phone.

If your still looking for body work and paint give Overall Autobody in Dartmouth (Acadia Street) a call. Top end paint jobs and very friendly. Just got my 67 back from them a few months ago and my father is now insisting that his 72 AMC needs new paint. I still have to send it back in for final buffing. Not cheap but some of the best painting, restorations and airbrushing around with a number of cars shown at SEMA. Forget what there website was but their number is 902-461-9699.
