Phil here from Toronto, I'm chompin at the bit for my new 05 GT Convertible. I have spent the last 7 years in family car hell, so I'm looking forward to having a truly great car. I received my VIN today and build date, so should be driving with the top down in 3 weeks.

Nice wheels indeed. :thumbsup I am fond of the 05 Mustang. If I did not have my Mach1, I would probably buy a GT convert. I have always wanted a convertible and the style of the 05 Mustang works.
Hopefully when you have your wheels you may come around to a meet a bunch of us.

Hey everyone....I am new around here...I have the 2005 V6 'stang, mineral grey, black leather interior. Now i am looking to put some stripes on...probably going with the Boss style. Does anyone know where there is a good spot in the GTA to purchase the decals? or even a good paint shop? Let me know...thanks...ohh and any thoughts on the color of the stripes? I was thinking Black but i did see a dark charcoal on someones car, looked very nice....cheers

I got my 2005 from Summitt Ford in TO.

They do about 5-6 stripe packages including the one I chose.

Looks sweet man!! Thats the style i wish to get on my car....Mine is Mineral grey so its a little tricky in choosing the color...its either black or metallic silver....what do you think? oh and if you dont mind...how much did that cost for the Boss package....and is it paint??

The rear section, trunk lid, and spoiler is painted. The balance is 3M vinyl.

The package is about $900.

Mineral Grey might look good with Dark Gold stripes...not real shiny, sort of like on the '69/70 Mach 1's.

Hey guysi have a 1965 coupe and im restoring it...i just bought a T5 for it becuase i want a 5 speed...i have the trani and the bell housing but what else do i need to convert from the automatic to my new trani..any help will be appreaciated.

possible lengthen or shorten the drive shaft, and maybe swap out the front yoke as the spline count/configuration might be different

tranny mount might also not line up, so some modifications possibly there as well..
another difference might be the flywheel thickness and flex plate throw..
location of the shift fork support compared to opening in the bell housing...


imo, slap it in and work away at it..
could turn out to be a simple swap, maybe not, not something i'd expect to do in a night tho..could be a few weeks of piecing things together


btw, i hear gtamc is meeting at square1 timmies in 'sauga tomorrow nite +/- 8:30pm should anyone be interested
