On an 06 GT... Go whipple for sure! IMO, the whipple is the best s/c for those 3V motors, with the best potential! Its just a more solid unit. Less troubles with whipples than KB's. And if Im not mistaken the whipple runs a little cooler than the KB too. After all its a Ford Racing product.

BUT... The KB's do sound cooler than the whipples, if you like the blower whine anyways. You barely hear the whipple unless its wide open and in the higher rpm's.
Im probably going to buy a KB, but thats because they make a smaller one for my Mach 1, the whipple is just to much on my car!

In all honesty though its tomato tomato, apples and oranges. A twin srew is a twin screw! Youll love either one.

There are politics involved with Ford's decision to go with the whipple unit, it doesn't mean it's superior to the Ken belle product. You are going to need to do a lot of homework to see which is better for you since they are both proven and quality products. I'd actually say the Ken unit is overall of higher quality, but simliar to a civic vs a mercedes that doesn't mean it's more reliable or more cost efficient-that's where your own judgement comes in to play. There are several great articles including the owners discussing each product using forumdig.com whipple supercharger mustang.

I went with the Whipple from Ford Racing. I found the support from Whipple and Ford Racing very tough to beat. I like the Whipple so much we became a Whipple Dealer. I live in the Denver CO area(5500 ft of elevation) and with a 1/4' smaller pulley, I am making 11#s of boost and 466hp at the rear wheels. I couldn't be happier.

I have now changed to GT-500 wheels and tires to allow for the install of the Ford Racing 14" Brembo brake set-up.
