Default 1998 Mustang GT NX Kit Questions

alrighty, first off thank you for even lookin at this cause its probably been asked quite alot but i cant seem to find enough information on this as i had hoped so im going to ask everyone for there 2-cents. I have a 98 GT with a Diablo Tuner and a cat delete and 130k on the motor, thats basically all you need to know correct, if not ask me. I am going to purchase this and running a 75 shot with it:

Nitrous Express Ford EFI Plate System (96-04 2V GT)

and was wondering what all i should do to it before i go romping around town with it and also, just out of curiosity, can cops write you a ticket for havin nitrous hooked up to your vehicle? Will i be needing spark plugs, thermo., timing adjustments, the works cause i get alot of different things from different people. I would like input from only those with experience with nitrous plz, thanks for takin the time to help me out.

i'v asked a cop in my town and he said that as long as the bottle line is disconnected its fine... i would just ask a cop in ur town. it could be different... the rule of thumb is -2* per 50 shot "safe setting" ... i would go posibly one step colder plugs for a 75 shot to be safe... i'v been a nitrous freak for about 5 years now... just make sure your fuel presure is set at the correct psi. for your kit.! ... you dont wanna lean it out and cause detonation...

any more ?'s pm me!

Ok. I will ask the next time i see one. You said to back the timing off 2* for every 50 shot right. If im running a 75 then would it need to be -2* or -4* cause its in the middle. I have a Diablosport Tuner that can change the spark advance but i dont know wether or not it changes the advance when you install the tune that comes on it. I can also play with the fuel as well but i dont know about the pressure, how would i go about putting it at the correct psi and what psi should it be at for a 75?

Cops really shouldn't be an issue, unless you are at wide open throttle when they see you and I don't think you will get pulled over for "having nitrous" if that's the case. There is really no way to tell that you are using it either. If it domes down to it in court you can always challenge the officers knowledge of vehicles to make him look dumb and get out of it. It's not illegal to have it, just to use it.

when u get ur n20 kit... it will tell you what the fuel psi should be set at... the fuel psi is the same for every shot that the kit comes with... about the timing... the kit should say how much to take out... if any at all... your computer might do it by its self ... if not ... u will need to use you tunner and take out the amount of timing the directions say!... also be sure to use the corect fuel that the kit recomendes! NO REGULAR! lol

i belive your fuel pressure should be at 38 psi with the vacuum off.

you might be able to adj. with ur stock fuel pressure regulater!... im not positive though... if not you will need a aftermarket adj. regulater... and of course a fuel pressure gauge!

What do you mean vacuum off. Can you turn it off and on? Also do you personally recomend any particular spark plug like NGK etc...
