Default how to get max hp gain?

Ok lets start with the basic

05 Mustang GT 9K miles
K&N Cold Air Intake
Flow Master Exhaust

Now a little more... I can do amazing things with computers and other gadgets but can't change my own oil...

What I want...

Since I know very little to nothing about cars except knowing how to drive them and of course going fast.

I have 10K of hard earned cash I want to sink into my baby (mustang) I want to get the absolute most I can, and am willing to put more money into later, this is just starting out money.

RIght now on the list is a STS Turbo... and after that I am lost as what to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hmmm, nice chunk of change. Before the turbo, ya might wanna do forged internals so ya wont worry bout blowin it up, then full exhaust is important with a turbo/supercharger setup too. if money is left over, do ported heads and new gears.

with 10 gs go to mmr and get a forged stroker block in the 3 to 4 range then slap a 76mm turbo 5to 6 range and waa laa 800hp lol no more in the 600 to better range but ur forged so possibilities are endless and as far as the sts im not to fond of they just due to the way the intake is mounted looks like it will cause problems for a daily driver hit a puddle and yep water in intake

That'll cover parts but certainly not installation. Doesn't sound like this is something he wants to do himself.

Here's something a bit more on the realistic side...

Get something like one of the Hellion turbo kits, or the HP performance turbo kits. Those will run between $4,100-$4,800. Having a shop install one of these kits will run about $1000 or so. If you leave these kits at 10 lbs of boost or under and run 91-93 octane you'll be fine without spending $3000+ grand on a forged block and even more on installation.

Now you'll need a new clutch (assuming you drive a manual) and centerforce has a nice dual friction for around $300 or so and installation on that will be around $300. After that I'd do a wider set of rims/tires to aid in the loss of traction you've just created as well as some items like rear control arms and some poly bushings here and there. That should all come in at somewhere at or under 10k with installation costs included.

If I had a new mustang with 10grand to sink into it. I would buy a intercooled Procharger supercharger, a well built transmission with a good clutch, big fuel system and some good drag radials. Then you would have a reliable steetable 450+Hp ride.

Intercooled Kenne Bell stage1 or stage2 kit. Safely run 9psi and you could go up to 19psi if you build your motor. That would run you around 5500 and plenty left over for install and tune and some suspension upgrades!
