I agree with most of the article, in my case, I had a choice of a turn-key twinscrew kit for $3550 or a tuner turbo kit for well over $5000. My budget wouldn't allow.
I have had one turbo Mustang in the past (2.3L) and loved the power it made. If the turbo kits are cheaper (good ones), I haven't seen one advertised yet!

not true.
There is so much that goes along with this that is left out. I am not going into detail but to say a turbo puts out more "whatever" is in other words incorrect. Personally I am pushing a moderate 10 lbs boost and close to 850 HP. I can very easily crank my novi 2000 up to 20 lbs of boost and push around 1300 HP on my setup. I know some of you may think I am full of Sh** but that is ok. I have been into racing for 17 years and not only know the differences between turbo and S/C but have seen it first hand. Don't get me wrong turbos are bad A$$ but your crossing the line when you say better! Better is always to the eye of the beholder. That write up was correct in some ways but in other way off track..
Here's something to think about. . . What does a top fuel dragster run? Why don't they run turbo's? I honestly don't know. . .
Haha...well put cause it's true!!! Top fuel dragsters run a huge roots style blower on the motor and we're talkin motors that make an estimated 4-6000 hp. This is only estimated cause there is no dyno able to hold these cars...so at those numbers that means they drop one cylinder= them losing about 6-800 hp now that's some power.
I'm interested in Rotrex from Forced Air Performance. Their SC acts both as a twin screw and centrifugal SC. Meaning you'll have the instant boost of a TS and the power in the upper rpms of a Centrifugal. I hope they make a kit for the New Edges(I think they are in the process of making one)
ya thats a killer blower,i spoke with one of the reps for about half an hour and they are cosidering building a blower for the 87-93 and 94-95 guys.cant go wrong there.best of both worlds.

My company makes and sells an extremely complete turbo kit for 05+ Mustang GT. The power really is impressive, with the base gt28 turbos 750 wheel hp is the limit, full boost at only 2,300rpm! but go up to our larger gt35's and you can reach 2000whp.

Any body out there know where I can get a used supercharger I am on a limited budget (the wife does not feel I need one ) for my 2000 4.6 GT ?
Depends on what type you want. You can get a used Vortec online for a couple of grand or a Saleen Series 1, 2 or 4 for a couple of grand used. The Saleen's will make good bottom end power. I can roast the tires in my 2000 GT at a roll in 2nd if I plant it to the mat.
Check on Ebay or craig's list, you can find some good deals, but research before you buy so you DON'T get burned.

Thanks for the tips on this one. I am also looking for a cheap used Supercharger because I'm on a budget right now. Thanks for the heads up!
