Default remarks on this Nitrous system

Im looking into getting a nitrous sytem and was looking at the Venom VCN 1000 Nitrous Kit. this it what it says about it.

Kit comes complete with: Computer Control Module, Nitrous Nozzles, Wiring Harness, 10 Lb. Bottle, Bottle Brackets, Hoses, Fittings, and Installation Manual.

No modifications to fuel pressure required and best of all it works on all new fuel systems that do not include a fuel return line.

Easy installation with basic hand tools requiring only four electrical connections.

On/Off switch to disable VCN-1000.

4 Nozzles For 25, 50, 75, 100 HP Shots.

for those who know alot more then i do what do you think? would i be safe running the 100 HP or should i go with the 75 HP. any other mods besides the ones listed in my sig would i need?

whats the price of the kit ? a 100 shot will be perfectly fine. I am probably a little bias because I love the NX systems. they have great products with great support and make the power they are suppose to.

I can't tell you about that particular system. If it were me Id spend the little extra cash and go with the nitrous express kit or NOS. Both have been proven and very good kits. Also is this particular kit a wet or dry kit? More then likely it's a dry kit since it has easy installation. Like I said go with a proven name or you may be sorry. I personally have a 100 wet shot NX system on my stang and love it. But I don't really care for there solonoids very much...

OH!
Or if you want to stick with the dry kit for the easy install go with a zex kit. They also are pretty good kits from what I heard. I just actually looked on Ebay and found one for buy it now at $100.00
eBay Motors: Zex dry nitrous kit with Nitrous Express pressure gauge (item 120284873388 end time Jul-23-08 03:16:34 PDT)
It's a used kit that says it may need a new switch but looks like a good deal. There are others on there too.
GOOD LUCK WITH THE JUICE! It's much fun......

how do you tell if its a wet or dry kit if it doesn't state it? assume its dry if it doesn't say wet? how hard is it to install a wet kit?

A wet kit sprays gas and nitro so you need two solonoids and you have to splice into your gas line. So on a wet kit you can spray 300+ shot without running lean "if your car will take it" The dry kits only spray nitrous no gas so there is no splicing into a gas line so 100 shot is about max for a dry shot. I have never used a dry kit but they are very popular due to there ease of installation and cheap price. But as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. A dry kit 100 shot you MAY get 75 more HP when on a GOOD wet kit like NX or NOS it's usually exactly what they say, 100 shot = 100 more HP but it takes more work to hook up and they tend to cost more to be done right. You should be able to find a good zex kit on Ebay for pretty cheap and install it yourself in a few hours. I looked and seen many kits on there for a good price. You will also need 1 degree colder plugs NO PLATINUM PLUGS and if you have a hatch back a blow down tube is a must. Not needed in a trunk mount. You will also need to retard your timing about 3 degrees for a 100 shot to keep from detonating and burning a piston. You can purchase a timing box from MSD probably on Ebay or your local hot rod shop where it will retard your timing when you stomp it or you can set it to come on when you flip a switch or have a dial indicator. There is so many ways to go I'd speak with someone for your options.
