Default How to supercharge my 2000 mustang

Hi all-

I recently bought a 2000 mustang, with a v6 engine. i was looking to add some power and speed to the car- any suggestions on what would help give me some added speed? I was thinking superchargers, but I am not really sure what would work with my car- any help on this topic would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

another thing, most people with a v6 like to duel it out, in my opinion its better to keep it single exaust on a stock engine because the bigger the exaust the less tourque youll put out. sounds good but you lose power. i have a 2 1/2 inch single exaust with a 2 chamber Flowmaster and i noticed a big power difference, plus it sounds like a straight piped GT at around 4000RPM. if you supercharge it, you might want to duel it out then. and use an inercooler for the charger.

If you are interested in supercharging you want to purchase a complete kit designed for your car and one that includes programming of the ECM. If you try and piecemeal one together from various sources or used I think you will have nothing but headaches. I just finished and install of a vortech system on my 02 GT and am very pleased. I believe they make complete systems for the 3.8 motors as well. The best part is that they are designed to get the most out of a totally stock motor. Bolt it on and instant HP gains.
