Default intercooler (aftercooler)

Hey.....has anyone ever tried to add an aftercooler(intercooler)to a Paxton novi 1000 on a fox body? I am only running 8 lbs of boost but the temperature difference from 5 lbs to 8 is amazingly HOT..just trying to cool down a street driven car..i have even thought of adding a naca duct in the hood over the discharge pipe to TRY and cool it some..any ideas appreciated. thanx,Rich

Yes, I saw one at a car show a year ago. The guy was a good welder, and he used some universal pipe and bends with the urethane flexible joints and t-clamps to mate them up to a generic intercooler mounted behind the front bumper. Looked nice, almost factory.

I would think that this would be a big deal for a non-welder or someone who has never done a fabrication project like this before, though.

Try paxton for a front mount intercooler. I put on on my 04 mustang with a vortech sq. I put the 2.75" 8 rib pulley kit on it and it peaks at 12-14 psi. The tuner said the intercooler is one of the best he has seen. he said it lowered temps over 100 degrees. The car made 475 to wheels with a safe tune without using methonal injection.

We are now offering front mounts to replace the "Stock" ones that you can get.
Check out this link, on the graph the end result states that it is 28 degrees about "ambient"(out side temps) Our Intercoolers will make the end charge temp 2 degrees above ambient! Thats 98% Efficient, you cant get better than that! For about the same price we can also build you a custom sized one.

Email me for a Quote Stephen@VelocityTurboSystems.com

Here is the link: ProCharger Intercooling

Thanks,

Speed
