Default Newbe checking in Power issues?

Hello Newbe here Living in the Portland ME area (not new to the Mustang thing)

I recently added a Roush charger to my now stage 3 unit my numbers are O.K ...401RWHP 363RWTQ heres the deal the car still seems to be a little flat. When i bang second gear (3.73s) it will lay 15-20 feet and not smoke the tires like my 96gt will, The 96 has 260RWHP with same gears. Is the Roush just better at hooking the 10" tires? Also I have a clunking sound coming from front end after I installed my CC plates???

Part of the difference are the taller wheels on your Roush vs the 96. Tall 18-20" wheels look cool, but make a difference in what gets to the ground. Of course, the extra rubber grips stronger too, so there's a trade-off.

The sound coming from the front end could be that the adjustment is off - it might be that the plates are cambered all the way toward the firewall (this is the setting preferred by lots of road racers on this sort of setup).

If any of the strut isolators were removed, this results in more sound being transmitted to the unibody.
