Any Suggestions? 2000 Mustang V-6 to Mark VIII Engine Swap?

I've got a 2000 Mustang V-6 w/manual tranny. We have a near perfect Lincoln Mark VIII sitting in the garage & were thinking about selling it, BUT..... Would the Mark VIII Cobra-based 32-valve DOHC engine fit in my Mustang?? Does anyone out there have experience with this? Help! Would appreciate any input.

Hi Daniel -
Thanks for replying on this...I was beginning to wonder if anybody was out there. Yeah, I'm sure the tranny would have to be changed out since the Lincoln is an automatic vs. my current 5-speed. Might be more than we'd want to get into, but we were just thinking what a fast Mustang we could make. The Mark VIII will run 145 mph, no problem & weighs a lot more than my Mustang. I'll take your advice & post this in some other places. Thanks again.

you will need a t45 a t56 for a trans and you will deffinetly need new wire harness, new motor mounts and if you have a vacuum brake booster you will need to change that, you also need a ecu a different drive shaft and a oil pan off a 4.6 sohc and a cobra intake this is assuming yours is a v6
