I am able to buy a toyota sc 14 roots blower for $350 Aus(Paxton vortech etc start around $ 3000 + bare here too rich for me) the blower moves 1420 cc (86.7ci) per revolution I have a 289+.040 Iwould like to run 6-8lb boost the car is street driven only and would rarely see 5000rpm the donor car has a 7500 redline and is 1.25% overdriven what I need to know is how to calculate how fast I will have to spin the blower to move enough air and if the unit will self destruct at this point or if I'll run into any major unresolavable problems the bigest problem so far is how to fit it under the hood of my 66.

I dont think that blower flows enough air, only 1.4 liters per revolution is more of a restriction that an aid.

It is just too small even if over-reved, which can destroy its bearings.

Try to find a blower that came from a larger displacement engine, such as a 3.8 v6 or something simmilar.

thanks for the tip Mate but I think I'll have to find out much air I need to move to create the required boost someone out there must know a formula or rule of thumb.It may help to eliminate some of my more hairbrained ideas
