I am planning on looking for gt4o heads of a explorer...would i need to get them ported????

you don't necessarily have to but it will make a difference....and if you get the gt40 manifold get that done also.....

Ok and if i dont get them ported due to the cost will it still add more hp over my stock heads?

yes there will be a horsepower gain....

and if your budget permits add the gt40 manifold and a cam

it will be like driving a new car......

i think like 1997 to 2001 or something like that. just do a search, someone posted it before. Stock they will add about 25-35 hp. I got mine ported and they add considerably more than that. They flow at 241cfm. I paid 450 for everything, but i knew the guy's nephew. Realistically everything shoulda cost like $1000. I also got a new intake and threw in an alphabet cam.

cuz i have an e303 cam and bbk CAI but my heads and intake are stock so theres really not that much use outa them
