hello stang world, my fuel pump just took a dump, the question is do i put a aftermarket pump out side the gas tank or go with the hi performance in the tank replacement the car will have a supercharger ,now running a e-cam with heads,exaust,intake lotta goodies,if the in the tank is the way to go ,any tips on how to do it without a nice gas bath all answers welcome thank you.

What makes you think your fuel pumps gone bad? What is it doing or not doing? What year and model Mustang?

its a 89 gt 302 sometimes when i turn the key on i dont hear it pressure up the system and it wont start, then all of a sudden the pump will work,,to me looks like it is on its way out

if i comes on after you try starting the car it may be in the switch or the wiring in the colum

When i turn the key to the on position sometimes i hear the pump pressure up the system, then sometimes i dont hear it then the car wont start

is there a relay to the fuel filter ?

The fuel pump relay on my 89 Lx 2.3 is under the driver seat.
and the inertia switch for the fuel system is behind the plastic in the backhatch area.
