Default vortech blower on a stock 96 GT

hey guys. ive got a stock 96 GT and i was thinking about putting on a vortech supercharger. the site says its only good for 75 HP on my car. thats with the 5-8 PSI setup. i can get 115HP with the 10psi setup but i dont really have the money, and i dont want to run the risk of breaking something on the bottom end. has any one run this setup? i mean the blower with non-pi heads. i just want some reliable power, and i dont want to do the pi swap because this is my daily driver and i cant afford to not drive it for a week or two. and does anyone know how much it will raise my compression? im betting im gonna have to run 91 octain, but im not sure.

pi parts collected so far: 01 GT heads, pi intake.
pi parts still needed: head change kit, heater tube (need help finding), heater tube niple, timing chains, and about 1 million shop wrags.
