Default nitrous as aftercooler?

i have a question has anyone either on turbo or sc ever use nitrous as intercooler.it would just seam to make sense because nitrous is so cold with such a good burn rate.so im using a btm boost controller and i decide to take 2 degree per pound of boost instead of one per pound without nitrous im only thinking of spraying a 50 horse(smallest my kit goes)i have tfs t.w stage 3 cam and r intake 75t.b 80 mass air w/cone kn 42 inj bbkl reg. 255 pump msd cap, wires, coil ,anderson pipe(going to have tweecer rt to tune)v1 10# bottom end was freshened up 1000 miles ago i put forged piston in standard block with fresh rings bearing and felpro multi-layer head gaskets.first of all would i be close to maxing out fact block of 450-500 hp with just 50 hp and my set up i know reggie thinks im crazy lol and he is correct .but really just want to get max hp possible with what i have then next project is doing rear half of car mini tubs and full roll cage any suggestions of a plase here in kansas thanks any imput would be greatly helpful. ps if this block cant handle it how about a 351 block

What are you asking exactly? If nitrous could be used as a cooling agent?

well you are batting .500

there is no stock 351 (generally speaking ) that will support 900HP

so reggie honest do you see what im trying to do you really think with btm to pull timing out under boost .if i could spray 50 shot for cooling affect kind of like the last orticle in one of my mags freez zone but they would use cannaster on discarge the sprat co2 to freez cannister for very impressive hp gain and what we talked about hp range im running guess 400 would that extr cylender pressure be the killer or what would be my biggest problem doing this set up besides det. lol (pull that timing all i need i really value your imfo.by the way i changed my harness fixed short but msd had already bit the bullet so autozone givine me a new box but if i hook up btm do i need a msd box still to power up btm or is it your ign. and boost control waiting on instruction with box to fine out just wandering.and could i wire the in parelle and use 6-plus to retart nitrous or if possible just take extra timiming on btm instead of 1pound per 1 degree could pull 2 degree per pound of boost just my little brain getting me in trouble just tell me im nuts and i want run itif not applicable

A stock 351 won't support 800hp. The most hp you can squeeze out of a stock 302 or 351 is around 350-400hp MAX. If you try to push the stock internals anymore than that, you'll be breaking connecting rods, burning valves and destroying cam lobes.

so you saying a 351 block and 302 block will support same hp?that not the way i was under the impression after talking to ron at fox lake racing and the ford performance guide to building big cube small block ford.and i must be really lucky because i would think tfs stage h/i/c with supporting ign. and fuel system along with a v1 at 10# i would think im at 450 wouldent you think and this motor has seen some crazy top speed for very lond distance(i live in middle of kansas open roads)also have a friend that dyno motor last week a 408 stock block 650hp with nitrous now granted if we had big money we would all have dart blocks but sometimes a little prep goes a long way jmo

I can't let you dog breath me ... but he asked "351 block" . not internals. A good stroked rotating assembly, hci, fuel system, sized turbo with good tune 800hp is not unreasonable but cashflow will not stop there.

do what to you.......

i will agree with the right amount of money and combination of parts

you can produce 800 hp with a stock 351 block....

for that matter you can do that with a 302 block....

But the question is how long will it last.....

from experience in engine building the object of the game is not only

to build horsepower but to build reliability....

so i will continue to stand my ground with a 351 stock block will only

sustain 600-650 horsepower over an extended period of time....

anything above that generally speaking is destined for failure...

yes i would agree my point was only that 351 block would take a larger hp number safer than a 302 block.period not that you can put 700-800 hp
