Default Bottle Opener Broken component, cant work out what it is! help!

HI there,
I have a NOS bottle opener (the motor driven type) and i accidentally banged the back of the motor casing and broke a glass component in there. However, i cant work out what the component was. Its wired in-line with the positive supply, and i think its some form of thermal of overload cutout. The glass was surrounding a bi-metal device, which is now clearly not encased in glass!
I attach a picture of the device and i would greatly apprecaite it if someone could tell me what it is / does and what a suitable replacement is or if it can be bypassed (not ideal maybe - its surely there for a reason??) the opener still works, but im not sure whether this component is an important part of the system,
Your help & comments are especially welcome.
Thanks in advance, Tim

OK - well i figured out what it is Its a thermal cutout. When the device heats up past a certain point there is a bi-metal peice that bends and breaks the circuit. So im pretty safe i think to leave it as it is.
If anyone does know the part number for this component, or an equivilent, please let me know so i can replace it!

Yep, that was my first reaction too! - I spoke to them and the guy told me that its not a orderable part. He was going to get back to me with a solution/take-off part. Unfortunately i havent had a call back from them yet.

Hey there - Sorry for the huge lag with this post.

I did speak to the guy again and he promised to send me a replacement part that i can install myself. HOWEVER - nothing ever arrived, which is a bit dispointing. Poor customer service holley!!

The bottle opener does still work ok for the moment and i have a bunch of other things to chase up and worry about right now!!
