HI there,
I have a NOS bottle opener (the motor driven type) and i accidentally banged the back of the motor casing and broke a glass component in there. However, i cant work out what the component was. Its wired in-line with the positive supply, and i think its some form of thermal of overload cutout. The glass was surrounding a bi-metal device, which is now clearly not encased in glass!
I attach a picture of the device and i would greatly apprecaite it if someone could tell me what it is / does and what a suitable replacement is or if it can be bypassed (not ideal maybe - its surely there for a reason??) the opener still works, but im not sure whether this component is an important part of the system,
Your help & comments are especially welcome.
Thanks in advance, Tim
