I'm new to the forums and didn't search much, but I just ran my 92 5.0 today with it's new vortech basic kit. For starters my car BBK equal length shorties, Bassani X-pipe w/converters, cobra exhaust, 70mm mass air, still 19lb setup, 190 lph fuelpump. At the top of 2nd gear the check engine light comes, is this normal with a boosted car, or should I look into more. Thanks

how much boost are you running?

standard kit, don't have a boost gauge yet, should be 5-6 psi

do you have a fuel pressure guage? did your kit come with the inline t- rex fuel pump?

Std kit does not come with a t-rex pump, I have not yet installed my fuel pressure gauge, supercharger elbow is in the way

i would hook up fuel gauge and vac-boost gauges.is that the stock tune or did you have a tune on your car.i am running 10#v1 and my light comes on about 1/2 hour running hard or easy but i have fact tune.what is your timing set at
