Default 5.0 - Vortech V1 re-build?

Need to re-build my Vortech V-1, making some harsh noises, think its the bearings. Does anyone have any good info on this, or a link to a breakdown of whats involved in a re-build, part #'s ect..

Any advice would be appreciated..

I got some info from a friend at another site. He had his V2 S-Trim upgraded to the new Si Trim, upgraded to a polished housing and had a minor rebuild done. The cost was $730 and done by Vortech. Now if your's is making noise it may be more but this will give you a ball park. Also you should consider the Si upgrade as I here it builds boost much faster. my friend compared it to a T-trim supercharger.

I hope this helps a bit.

The best thing to do is to send it back to Vortech for a rebuild. a minor rebuild is around $350. There are articles that people have wrote on how to rebuild them but they spin so fast I would rather have the OEM rebuild it them myself or anyone else. If you want to do it yourself look on the Corral in the S/C section and you can find an article or two.

Thanks for the advice, but i'm probably gona have to re-build it myself, as i'm in the UK, and sending it back to Vortech would be a bit of a mission! I'll check out Corral.. Thanks again
