Help need supercharger advice soon, 2007 Mustang GT
2007 MUSTANG GT
I would like everyones opinion on a good reliable supercharger. The three i have been looking at where the paxton, vortech, procharger.does anyone have these chargers if so any luck with them. Also what does everyone think about the kenne bell. Cannot seem to find much info about this s/c.
I run a Vortech V-2 on mine but all there are very good. Don't rule out positive displacement superchargers (Whipple, Kenne Bell, Saleen, Roush) either.

Not to be a hater of the vortech but is has the lowest gains of all centrifugal superchargers and is in other words a baby to the supercharger market coming out in the 90's. If you went centrifugal I would go paxton or procharger, paxton has been is the buisness longer than any other supercharger that says it all . And paxtn has been tried in proved in high horsepower apps like justin burcham stang. I would look into the new edelbrock it's on sale ontillman speed or the techco from SMS.

I have a Kenne Bell 2.1L supercharger on my 2V and I gained like 160rwhp-170rwhp on my car running 10psi on a conservative tune. The low end torque is great and addicting and the scream of the twin screw is intimidating to others around you. I have pics in my profile if you wanna see what it looks like, and the KB kits for the 3V engine is actually bigger than the one I have. But if you go centri, Id def go with Procharger or Vortec. Which ever blower you go with get the intercooler kit and run a safe tune with it.

I am really considering the kenne bell now after some reasearch. My buddy is a tuner and highly recommends this kit. Have you had any belt promblems like slipping or coming off. Or any other promblems with it at all. I am guessing you have to run oil lines for this kit

No, it's self-lubricating. Probably going to need a beefier belt tensioner.

Paxton and Vortech make almost the same gains. The compressors are virtually identical. In fact, paxton is now owned by Vortech.

No problems at all. Ive only had it on since October of 07 and have only about 2,600 miles on it since the install, but everything runs smooth. And like SLTWAGON said, the KB kits are self lubed.

thanks everyone i am more then likely going with the paxton now it is hard to decide but i deff want a centif s/c. I like that the paxton comes with an air to air cooler.
????does anyone have an air to water cooler if so do they like it??????
You can't really go wrong with either a Paxton or a Vortech. They are both very reliable and they are the only companies that offer a 3yr warranty on there product. Both Paxton and Vortech also offer self contained head units so there is no need to run oil lines.
