What do oyu think is a better bang for the buck. I like both set ups could see doing it sometime soon im going to get 4.10 gear's this spring because 3.73's dont seem worth it. I would like to hear what you guys think thanks.

just keep in mind that on a stock block either way you go your not going to want to push more than 430RWHP.... If you plan on building an engine and spending serious money then think of the goals you want.... i.e. 1/4 mile car, track car, bad ass daily driver, then you can think about what would be best.

You can go a little higher than that. 475 seems to be an agreed upon safe number...
At this early stage in your planning...mistake to concentrate on brand names (and particular just two). Research forced induction and decide first, whether supercharging or turbocharging will suit your needs and goals.
I have the same questions but not KB. Whipple or saleen JDM tolled me 500 to the wheel is safe with a good tune! Love the hellion kit but as far as blowers go which one is the better one most people I talk to are 1 to 1 with these 2 blowers!!

couldn't have said it better any f/i will get you more than enough to blow a stock block question is how far do you wanna go ?
and if your going turbo keep the 3.73's they will work better with the turbo if you decide on the t/s go 4.10's
I have always loved the kb and the mammoth was my dream blower. But to fully use a mammoth you got to forge which i dont know i want to do. I love the whine even know it's not as loud as it is with 03 04's. I just love that price on the hellion what set up would be cheaper overall?

I went thru the same diliema with the Mammoth being too much for the stock internals, and bought a KB 2.6 Stage 2 instead.
Then a year later I decided to build a forged 5.3 stroker, and wish I had bought the 2.8 instead of the 2.6
My advice, get the bigger pulley for the 2.8 to get it down to the 10 psi range (may require a non stock hood). That way you won't have to drop another $7000 to upgrade to a 2.8 a year later!

What about Helion turbos going into a KB blower!
There is a guy who done this on a 2003 cobra .... wicked!
