Default Supercharger for 1988 Mustang GT

I have a 1988 Gt, I have been looking at turbos and superchargers and I have deided to go with a supercharger. Now when I was looking at turbos, I noticed that since my car is speed density I would have to convert it to mass air, is it the same with a supercharger or will it work being speed density?

MAF is much better at reading measurements. Anything more than minor mods will require MAF.

With a stock ECU that is true with a standalone a speed density system is better.

You will need to convert your car to Mass Air if you want to run a s/c. It's not that hard tho and there are lots of write ups online that can tell you how to do it.

I read a thread a few days ago about a guy who had a charger on a speed density car. He was complaining of terrible gas mileage and the car was running to rich. The MAP couldnt properly measure the amount of air and was maxing out the fuel injectors, not knowing what to do. Mass Air conversion is cheap...go for it
