4.10 And A Supercharger Pro's-cons? Also Can I Keep My Fipk Cai With The Supercharger
Ok i'm going to get 4.10's on my 02GT can i put on a supercharger later down the road and keep the 4.10's? Or will i have to go to 3.73's? Also can i keep my K&N FIPK 2 CAI KIT in conjuction with my supercharger or will i have to change to a MAF system?

You can install 4:10s but will need to launch it at around 2k rpms
I raced a 2000 GT with Vortech, 3.73s and 12psi, the best launches were at around 3,500 rpms with street tires (MPilots).
The other issue is you will be spending more time with boost than without, it will come a lot earlier and will hurt MPG.
I think the best for economy and good performance is a 3:73, although a friend has another Vorteched GT with 3.27s and launches pretty hard with 14psi.
Why not settle for intermidiate? 3.55s
It will depend a bit on the ammount of boost you run and your concern for fuel economy or outright performace.
My .2 is that the 4:10s are just a bit too much.
Hmm well i wish i could here from someone on here with 4.10's and a supercharger. Ok how about this you take a guy with 3.73's and a guy with 4.10's and both have the same super charger everything even and both drive the same who wins who is faster?

I think that you shoud go with 3.73s. With 4.10s you are going to run though the powerband very fast. I know some guy who has a 97 cobra S/C with 4.10s. He changed to them from 3:73s, but the cobra also redlines at 7000rpm. So for a gt i would say the 3.73s are the best choice because of there lower redline.
yeah, but an auto with 4.10's would still seem like a bit much with a supercharger. 96cobra's got the right idea. with a gt, the powerband isn't as wide. go 3.73's

I was at the track this weekend and I have 4.10's. I don't have a supercharger, but I do have a 6 speed. Right at the end of the 1/4 I am at 5800 in 4th gear. The only problems that I am having is hooking up in 1st gear.
Ran 13.3 @107 on street tires

Tremec 6 speed with 4.10's
