Default How Much Boost can I Safely Push

Hey im in the process of setting up my musting with a T3 .60 and i was wondering how much boost i can put through a fairly stock 5.0
the motor has been mildly built about 40,000k ago but nothing is forged... i was thinking that 9lbs is a fairly safe number? (i know im going to blow the damn thing up. the question is when)

general speaking 6-8 psi is safe for a stock block engine

no matter what the power adder a stock 5.0 is only good for about 500 hp....

I agree Reggie. It is all about getting the proper tune on it afterwards.....

Stock motors can handle some boost, 12-14psi is fine as long as the tune is in check. Hell a few years ago we pushed 18psi on a stock short block with out a problem.
