Default supercharger misfires

I recently installed a 9lb Powerdyne supercharger on a 1990 5.0 mustang. When I fully accellerate the car takes off quick but only shows three pounds of boost and then at 4000RPMS starts crapping out, sounds like plugs misfiring. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Did you install larger volume fuel pump? You could be running lean I had a simialr problem with it laying down at the higher rpm. I made a cheap fuel gauge extension to get out of the car (used the shradder valve) so I could have someone watch it. Sure enough it was running out fuel. Also you need to go to a colder plug and bring the gap down i believe its should be around 32 -35. For the low psi make sure that belt is super tight.

yeah, you should have a fuel pressure guage installed as a matter of necessity inside the car...add octane booster as well. Lucas or Torco is best...cheap insurance...get it on a dyno, best way to see what's happening in real time

you can also add Kenne Bell's boost a spark and boost a pump...they work great and only come on when you are under boost

I see you are near me, I know someone who can tune your car for you and do a dyno session for about $500, send me a private message if you are interested.
