supercharger!!!! they may be a little more expensive but the are a ton more reliable, add more hp and torque, they sound cooler, look much nicer, and dont run nearly as hot as a turbo. Plus if u turbo it then only a specific sizes will fit, its a pain. on the other hand turbos are cheaper. and i have been called a car snob before, but turbos are for rice burners

also if u supercharge it i would swap out the heads and exhaust to match the hp needs of the supercharger. i recommend AFR heads.

so turbos dont add more hp and torque? ha....

but personally i would choose turbo because it is more efficient then a blower

yah i know about the power loss with the supercharger running off the crank. i was originally thinking supercharger because of the looks, sound, and how easy it would be compared to a turbo, and im not too worried about the cost (its going to be a long running project.) but ive heard people tell me that the 5.0 responds better to being turbocharged. and yes the engine is going to be receiving quite a few upgrades to handle the power.

turbos do add alot of hp and torque and they are more efficient. they dont use any fuel to run since they are not connected to the drive belt, and less stress on the engine but superchargers dont add a whole lot of engine stress if done correct either and there is no turbo lag. instant power at any rpm with supercharger.

it all comes down to opinion in the long run. i have heard that they respond better to a supercharger. depends on who u talk to i suppose lol. if u do want a supercharger check out kenne bell and weiand, paxton makes a nice one too. there are 3 diff. types of superchargers, depends on the style u are looking for.

yah i think i am going to supercharge it. ive looked at kenne bell those twin screw look pretty cool and i like the blowzilla they have. and for some reason when i think of my car being turbo charged it just does not sound right. besides my uncle is a huge Ford muscle car guy and he would probably dis-own me if i turbo charged it.

Apparently you've never heard a turbo charged car go down the track.....

Your 3.8 can be faster than a 5.0......

ive heard kenne bells dont really add that much to a 5.0.

And i do believe turbos add more hp than superchargers and are more economical.

To add boost to a turbo you turn a knob(boost controller). To add boost to a supercharger you hav to take the head unit off and change pulleys.

I would say turbo/twin turbo it. google "hp turbo" and click on hp performance. They have awesome kits and hellion does also. They even give power ratings.

But if you do decide to go supercharged i would recommend Procharger. Self contained oiling and have a big power increase.
