Ok see thats why I am back and forth about getting a sc or tc because people say it hurt your engine and so I started looking at no2 but now its kind of scary sounding because I don't have the money to replace an engine if its blown...... If I get a sc or tc what problem can I have if I am just driving the speed limits not accelerating to fast but every once in a while I let her loose or at a track to get a 1/4 time maybe 1 or 2 times in a year...... basically if I can get 300-350hp I will be happy that is my goal no matter now I get it I want to get it and be safe driving the car...... a s/c or t/c needs what to be safe on an automatic?? no2 needs nothing other than a tune and to use it smart not every time u hit the pedal right??
SC, Turbo, NO2 - all can blow up your engine. They each have advantages and disadvantages. BTW, you need to worry about the engine more than you do the tranny. The new autos are pretty tough and can handle about 450hp...
Anyway, blowers (turbo or SC) work with the engine and build boost with RPMs, so they are usually more reliable. Disadvantage is higher cost to install and need for an intercooler.
NO2 needs to be set properly to be reliable (window switch, pressure regulation with warmers+purge), so there is a bit of initial work. Advantage is lower cost, but it has the disadvantage of constantly refilling the bottle.
Both will need fuel delivery upgrades and good tunes to function the best. Both have limitations on a stock motor. I would say NO2 is good for a quick and dirty solution; use a blower if you're building up the rest of the engine.

Really I want to upgrade my whole engine to get 300-350hp I will take more if I can get it higher. So I think now I should upgrade slow on my entire engine and then get a supercharger after a year or so......... the no2 is getting me nervous because of all this perfect set up talk and I don't want to risk it for fun so I am saying forget that but what are key parts I should get before I get the SC??

The biggest KEY part you will need before buying a supercharger..... is cash. They are pretty much all inclusive. Don't bother buying any other engine mods until you buy the supercharger. A CAI? you will throw it away. Most s/c systems come with a tuner, do don't buy one of those either. If you have money burning a hole in your pocket, then upgrade your rear end with a posi and some shorter gears. If you are really commited to buying the s/c then I would suggest 3.73 not the 4.11's, a s/c will pull better with the 3.73's only do the 4.11's if you plan on staying n/a.

I just sold my truck so I have some money not SC money but I got enough for anything else that i have looked at but when I looked at rear and gears it all seems to talk about manual parts and 4.6 parts will those all fit on my 4.0 auto? if it does then I am set and will get the stuff I seen on americanmuscle.......... Also I should really get rid of my CAI that I just put in when I get the SC?
The only difference between the GT rear axle and the 4.0 rear axle is the flange for the driveshaft. Most places selling GT takeoff rear ends, have them allready set up for your 4.0 with the flange attached. If you are planning to supercharge, then buy yourself an entire new 8.8 in rear end, don't build up your 7.5 in rear end. In the end, they will cost the about the same to do anyway. I bought my 8.8 from a vendor on this site, ready to bolt on, with 4.10 gears and frrp posi, for $900 shiped to my front door. I installed it in about 5 hrs, and it has been a blast.
GT 8.8 Rear Axle Assembly 2005-2007 w/ABS w/Trac-Loc These are takeoff rear axle assemblies from new 06/07 GT's. They were removed from cars with less than 20 miles on them. This rear axle has the "Cobra Pinion Flange" that will allow direct bolt on for a Mustang V6 '05-'08. If your buying it for a GT please let us know.
Then if gives me the option for gears and the 3.73 that I think you guys say I need is 849.99 for the package is this the whole rear that I need and the gears? (I know it sounds like its right I just want to make sure so I don't order something that I can't use)

ok so after the rear and gears I will be set to get the SC right? Anything else I do will just add to the well being of my engine right?
You're set!! The SC kit you listed comes with the tuner, CAI, and fuel upgrades included. I wish I just sold my truck so I could get a SC... too bad I don't have a truck! I'm jealous... but have fun with your purchases!!!
