Thumbs down Been installing my P1SC for 4 days now! First impressions

On my 94. It is one **** of a job too. I even have air tools. I did a KB install on a 94 like mine in 4-5 hrs. I have has to cut, grind, pound bend and fabricate all over my my car to get this innercooler plumbering in. I have almost worn my dremil out. I had to shim the PS pump too cause it was off plain with the other pullies.

One thing that is really bugging me is the innercooler placement. The freakin fins are TIGHT up against the front bumper and NOT getting ram air at all. If it were just a few inches higher OR lower it would be fine but in the middle sucks!

Another thing that annoyed me was the weight. This kit weighs at LEAST 100 pounds!!!! They could have saved considerable weght if they had made the tubes from NON- heat sinking aluminum and not heavy steal PAINTED to look like aluminium. What can you expect for $3300

Also my kit didnt come with a fuel pump like the add says it should. WTF? 11 pounds of boost and a stock pump? I dont think so tim.

Lastly, I think I know why ATI pushes innercoolers so hard now. Because of the CRAPPY location of their air/filter intake. The TINY, restrictive 7-9" filter they provide takes a crowbar to sqeez in past the master cylinder and it sits just above the red hot headers and presses up tight against the HOT ass plemun. You would need an inner cooler just to lower the temp of NON compressed air from this location!

I hope this thing run good because, so far, it seems like kids designed it.

BTW, did I mention it took almost a month to get it and it had the WRONG head unit too?

This good to know as i just got ATI distribution, if i were you i would spend some extra days relocating the filter into the fender.

I might purchase a P1SC as soon as i make some sales, and will surely send ATI some feedback on the problems.

Wait til I get it worked out first Rob and dont use names Here is some more you can tell them.

Did I also mention that the Blow off tube was about 18"s short of reality and that I had to add about 2 feet to every wire in the wire loom that connects to my fuse box, AC, ect? And that there is no good way to reinstall my coil now? or (shall I continue?)

I knew when I bought it that it had a rep of being difficult to install but for that kind of money you would at least think they could include a single photo of a P1SC in an SN95 (not fuzzy pics of a 600 or D1) and maybe and harness extrender and TFI mounting kit.

They did call me and give me some extra parts just now BTW

Maybe today but I need a spare O2 sensor to troubleshoot an idle problem. Got one you can loan and or sell me? A code reader would do to. If so, call me on my sell ASAP (wait until 2:30)

No O2 sensors laying around. There's a way you can pull codes without a scan tool on the foxes, does it work on the SN95's?

I just did the d-1, and I agree with all your comments. I used a small metal bracket to mount the coil, used self tapping screws to hold it to the procharger bracket, had to shim the power steering also, and I also had to make the discharge shorter to clear the hood. But other than that, it was easy. I had to redue it, as the car accelareted much quicker than my auto wanted to shift and it bounced of the rev limiter and popped the head gaset and rings. Got it all fixed, driving to mobil one with the new set-up. Watch the tune-up, and let me know how you like it.

I got a flex hose and meved it up to the top over the master cylinder. I cut a hole in the first layer of the hood to make more room and get some cool air for the SN95 "nostrol"

soon. Right now, Im still ironing out the finnal issues. It will not idle still. I could not get a tune to work with the EEC tuner and the 90mm LMAF so I sold both and got a 75mm prom M. The pro M works much better but I think its tuned too lean. Rather than send it back to be recalibrated, I just gave the flow sheet to Jerry W. @ www.fordchip.com and am going to have him tune it with a custom "Jerry" chip. Jerry is the best ford tuner ever and will tune it til its right and even give free reburns for life

Everyone has problem tunning PRO-M mafs, what i always recommend is using the STOCK electronics with the PROM housing, and then plot into the EECTuner just the MAF flow and leave the voltages alone.

Thats exactly what i did with my ported MAF (around 73mm now), used PROM flow #s and from there i adjusted a bit until i came with a good eectuner MAF transfer table.
