Default Will Toluene eat a gas can?

I've been using toluene to up the octane levels in my mustang I just have a question about if it will eat threw one of those red plastic gas containers. It will only be in there no more than an hour tops I just got my car painted and I don't want to spoil any toluene on the paint being that toleune is a type of paint thinner. I usually use a funnel but when getting the last bit out of the can it can cut it close. By the way Toluene is a great octane booster and cheap.

I've never had problems with Toluene eating through my plastic gas cans, but I have had it eat up fuel system parts. I went through three or four fuel pumps and some gaskets before I figured out what it was.

Maybe parts are better now since fuel has ethanol.

I hope so I now gas has alittle toluene in it anyway. I also use mavel mystery oil with the toluene mix I heard this helps to prevent the eating away of fuel lines. Someone told me tranny fluid also works but I'm not putting trans fluid in my tank. By the way I only really do this if I'm racing which isn't often and its just to prevent pinging.
