Default Different prices of turbo kits.

Well I just recently bought a 1988 GT Mustang and I was going to add a turbo to it since I heard it was better than supercharging. I was wondering something though. I see insane prices for turbo as well as really cheap ones.

Examples:

Twin turbo - $999
Twin Turbo TT FORD MUSTANG 260 289 302 351 5.0L Kit:eBay Motors (item 270411287260 end time Jun-21-09 16:16:27 PDT)

Single turbo - $1475
1986 - 1993 Mustang 5.0 Single Turbo Kit Foxbody 86-93:eBay Motors (item 130313812361 end time Jun-26-09 12:24:11 PDT)

Single turbo - $3899
Twin turbo - $5349
Turbo-Kits.com - 87-93, 94-95 & 2005+ Ford Mustang Turbo & Twin Turbo Kits

why the huge jump in price?

Those ebay items don't always come with all necessary parts like piping, brackets, and so on. Plus this is one of those things you get what you pay for. You go on price alone, you'll get a cheap kit.

i dont think a cheap turbo kit is the way to go. I think if you do it right the first time you should never have to worry about it again.
Twin turbo kits are generally more expensive, the extra turbo, waste gate and such.
A turboed street car is extremely fun to drive
